The Model United Nations

Apologies for not writing any blog posts this week. This is due to the sudden realisation of the Chinese IGCSE oral exams coming up in a months' time.

It has been suddenly confirmed that I will be returning back to Singapore by the end of the year, a sudden realisation that made me begin to cherish the last year in Jakarta. Jakarta has gave me many new experiences from the language itself to the history and culture of Indonesia. By father's job as a banker has given me a chance to meet many powerful individuals, with unfathomably large  properties and an incomprehensible amount of money. I am very sad to leave Jakarta but hope that the fact that I have lived in Jakarta will give me a new insight on how Singapore works and the many faults that it might have.

Due to the fact that I am leaving, my mother has decided to register me in the Chinese IGCSE examinations as a physical form of proof that I obtain the knowledge to speak, at the very least, coherent Chinese. She has suddenly realised the fact that, if I were to go back to Singapore before next year, I would have no physical evidence to prove the fact that I can speak comprehensible Chinese, a trait which she believes has the potential to get me employed when I decide to join the labour force. I do agree with this fact, however, it would mean that I would have to study the whole syllabus in the space of two months.

It is due to this fact that I was unable to posts any more than the bare requirements for this blog and for that aspect, I apologise. I will assure you that I will be blogging more often as soon as the IGCSE Chinese examinations come to a close in at most two months time.

I am very proud to announce the fact that I have been chosen, for my powerful manipulation in English, to write an article about the Model United Nations, a worldwide event where students from many different countries will be assigned to be delegates of different countries. These students will then gather in a certain country and school to simulate the United Nations Conference, where countries from all over the world will discuss "clauses" brought up by many other countries.

The Model United Nations Conference event is one of profound complexity, one that I will not delve into for the sake of the length of the blog post. However, if you, the reader, are participating in such a prestigious event such as this, I implore you to read through my article, for it is one that I am proud of. It is an article giving an explanation of the "Illegal Arms Trade".
