MUN Global Conference, Bangkok
Another week passes, and again more and more things appear, attempting to act as obstacles to hinder my academic progress. However, for some of these things, one actually wants to overcome them, hoping to get stronger along the way. For this week, the obstacle would be the MUN Global Conference, which will be taking place in Bangkok.
I can't say that I'm not excited. I am actually. I enjoy meeting different people from different cultures and backgrounds, as well as meet the regulars who usually attend this conference every year. I'll get to enjoy a bit of Bangkok, as well as receive some relief from my academic studies, which may be a privilege or a hindrance to my education, depending on your standpoint.
That's not to say that I won't be learning things there. I'll definitely be learning the proper rules and procedures of the MUN conference (something that I have yet to do despite being an MUN member for over half a year now) and learning how to interact with different people, no doubt having an ego no smaller than the size of the room, theirs being boosted by the pride of the country that they represent.
I'll let you know how the conference goes, but I really must get back to my education once again.
I think I probably failed my new years resolution. Thus is the will of the human mind.
Cheers,
Matthew Tan
